Hello there! Let's pretend I'm writing this in the evening of the first day. Cool? Ok!
Today was my first day in Dubai. Liz (chirpier then a cat nip overdosed moggie) and myself decided to head over to Atlantis Dubai to frolic around in the water park. Having already been to the Bahamas Atlantis, and having also visited the amazing Wild Wadi just down the road - this place had some living up to to do.
Situated on the end of the palm (man made palm shaped island in ocean), it was off to a winner. Also at 45 degrees, it was a great day to catch up with Liz, chill out, and go on all the rides.
Was it better then Wild Wadi and the Bahamas Atlantis? No. But nonetheless it was a great day. The Leap of Faith was a highlight (near vertical drop slide) as was the torrent. The rapids were rubbish and should be stripped on any such claim. Meandering stream would be more accurate.
The day did allow me to realise the following:
1. An HSBC card will go down the rapids, torrent, many flumes, and still work! Phew.
2. If you thought an arabic women looked cool skiing in their full dress - they look even better on an inflatable ring going down a slide!
